Rivers of Warning and Repentence

Then while standing there the Lord showed me a number of shafts of bright light that came down from the sky and touched those who had been crying out. After this there came up from these places great prayers of thanksgiving and intercession for the lost of the area.

Then at this I saw a great book opened in the heavens and from it fell the words of salvation, words of healing, words of repentance, words of forgiveness all over this land, and there was great rejoicing amongst those who had sought God, who had cried out for Him to visit them. The house of the Lord was all of a sudden bulging with those who had heard the cry of the Spirit of God and had responded with repentance.

Then in the midst of this I saw a sword called ‘righteousness’ go down and move through this land. However, instead of bringing joy to those living there, this sword brought division between those who had prayed and those who had not prayed, and a great lament went up as family rose up against family over the new thing that God was doing in the land.

I then noticed a cloud coming up from the land of the rivers and it smelt vile and was full of anger and bitterness, resentment and murder. At this time I saw the group who had prayed to the Lord begin to build fortresses in which they prayed and rejoiced and grew in the knowledge of the Lord. There was a great coming and going as they went in and out of the fortresses, sometimes bringing back new people to join them in praise and worship of the Lord. Then the cloud that I had seen coming up from the land caused a darkness to come on the land and the crops that had once flourished began to die and the desert began to reclaim the once green fields. Evil things began to be done by those who had not listened to the voice of the Lord, and the hidden things of that land became detestable in the eyes of the Lord, and the hand of the judgement of our God was set against those in the land that did such things.

It was then that the Lord asked if I had noticed or ceased to hear anything? “Look, look, at the fortresses,” He said. As I looked I noticed that the gates were shut tight and that where there had once been a road covered with much traffic, there was now weeds and dust and the road was empty of traffic. Those inside the fortresses had ceased to seek the Lord’s face and were devising schemes and plans to increase their number. Schemes and plans that were not of God.

I then saw rooms full of their number, with Bibles and other books open, and they were busily going through these books looking for new ideas, new wisdom. At the same time other fortresses were being built, and those inside of them shut the doors on those who had offended them in the land, and each fortress prophesied against the other. The noise of this grew so great, that it could be heard all over the country and many of the people of God mourned at it happening.

I then saw lines of holy men of God, who came to the city with words of warning, word of forgiveness, words of reconciliation. They approached the fortresses and spoke the word of the Lord to it. At this I saw come out from each fortress a strong spirit of pride, and the spirit of a false prophet, that lived in each fortress. They attacked these true prophets with swelling words of accusation and lies. Such was the strength of these words that many of those sent simply left in tears, mourning for that land and without strength to carry on.

I then noticed that the rivers that had once flowed with clear fresh water were now polluted with all kind of evil death dealing substances that were sucking the very life out of them. And the fish were dead and dying. The trees too, were now without leaves and there was no shade from the relentless heat of the sun in the land.

Then an angel of the Lord stood in front of me and said; “What you see happening to the rivers, to the land, to the beast of the field and the birds of the air, in this land, is my judgement against those of mine who have sinned against me. For they have allowed pride to overtake their hearts. They have become selfish with my word, and have taken possession of it as their own. They have, and continue to, bite and devour one another with all kinds of detestable words of filth and guile. They have forgotten that I saved them from judgement once when I heard their cry for mercy. They have forgotten that I visited their land and brought great deliverance to it as a result of their prayers, which they prayed, when they pleaded with me.

Therefore, tell this people that I desire that they seek my face and repent forthwith. For the rivers, and all that depend on them, cry out to me saying; “Save us from these impostors, who have caused us to die because of their sin”.

With that I was taken before a mirror. As I stood there looking into it, I noticed that I too had become grey and old and in need of help as those of my brethren. Then the angel said to me that this scene which I had witnessed would be repeated all across the nation, unless those within the thousands of fortresses repent, and come out into the street with the words of life given them by God.

“So come out, come out my people, and put away fear of man from you. Pull down the fortresses which are hindering the spread of My word, put away your pride of life, your self-taught wisdom, give back to God and His message of salvation that you stole and made your own, and I will heal you, bring you to Myself once again and cause you to see My face more clearly. And this land that I gave you shall sing a new song to me, for in the desert the flowers will grow, and the trees will once again give shade to all that seek it, and a great awakening shall cover the whole nation. Your sons and daughters, not yet born, shall testify of my goodness and grace towards you, when you repented and sought my face.”
